CIMZIA has been the subject of a comprehensive clinical program that includes two phase 3 studies: PRECiSE 1 and PRECiSE 2. The PRECiSE clinical trials were both double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled trials that enrolled a total of more than 1000 adults with active moderate to severe Crohn's disease.1 Patients who successfully completed the PRECiSE 1 or PRECiSE 2 studies could enter PRECiSE 3, an ongoing, open-label extension study.2-5

Important Safety InformationSerious and sometimes fatal side effects have been reported with CIMZIA, including tuberculosis (TB), bacterial sepsis, invasive fungal infections (such as histoplasomsis), and infections due to other opportunistic pathogens (such as Legionella or Listeria). Patients should be closely monitored for the signs and symptoms of infection during and after treatment with CIMZIA. Lymphoma and other malignancies also have been reported in children and adolescents. CIMZIA is not indicated for use in pediatric patients.
