UCB, the pharmaceutical maker of CIMZIA, partnered with OXO Good Grips® to design a syringe that would be easy to use. OXO Good Grips is a consumer-products company dedicated to providing innovative products that make everyday living easier.
The founder of OXO was well aware of the problem some people have gripping and using everyday items, because his wife had arthritis. Because of this, he designed products that would be easier for all people to use. For OXO, this means designing products for young and old, male and female, left- and right-handed people. The design of the syringe was focused on making it easy to use.
Indication CIMZIA is indicated for reducing signs and symptoms of Crohn's disease and maintaining clinical response in adult patients with moderately to severely active disease who have had an inadequate response to conventional therapy.
