Support During COVID-19

It’s likely you have tough questions. We want to help.

It can be difficult to manage your condition during a time when stress is high, your doctor’s appointments are online, and routines are no more. We offer support for certain challenges you may be facing.

If you have concerns about taking a biologic, it’s important to talk with your doctor. They can help decide what is right for you.

During this time of COVID-19,
it’s been so comforting to know
I have support and someone
who cares about me from
your program.

Nurses are by your side

If you could use a little extra support right now, you’re not alone. CIMZIA® patients have free, on-call access to CIMplicity® nurses who can answer questions, provide injection training, and discuss nutrition and wellness information related to your condition.* To talk to a CIMplicity nurse, call 1-844-UCBNurse (1-844-822-6877). Hours: Monday–Friday, 8 AM–8 PM, ET.

*CIMplicity Nurse Support does not provide you with medical advice and does not replace the care of your healthcare provider. You will be directed to share any questions related to your individual treatment plan or medical treatment with your healthcare provider.

My visits to the doctor’s office are brief due to COVID-19. I appreciate that there is someone to give me that little push to take care of myself.

We may be able to help with the cost of treatment

Cost shouldn’t get in the way of your treatment. The CIMplicity® Savings Program may be able to help.* The program allows eligible commercially insured patients to save on the cost of CIMZIA® throughout treatment. If you do not have a CIMplicity Savings Card, please call 1-866-424-6942 or enroll in CIMplicity to see if you're eligible.

Eligible and qualified patients who have lost their employment, been furloughed or had a loss or change of insurance directly due to COVID, may be eligible for assistance and should call ucbCARES® at 1-844-599-CARE (1-844-599-2273)† to see if they qualify. Hours: Monday - Thursday, 8 AM - 8 PM ET and Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM ET.

Obstacles to overcome

We are here to help ensure you have what you need to be supported as you manage your condition. Our free services are available for CIMZIA® patients every step of the way, so let’s work through this together. If you have specific questions about your condition and COVID-19, it’s important to talk to your physician.

Schedule a virtual injection training

For patients using the prefilled syringe (PFS), virtual injection training is available. Just call 1-844-UCBNurse (1-844-822-6877) to set up a time for a nurse to walk you through it.

Guidance for lyophilized powder (LYO) patients

It’s important to keep your appointment as scheduled, so if you’re unable to receive your treatment, be sure to tell your physician about your situation. You may also want to contact your doctor’s office or treatment facility in case there are updated hours for injection services.

Using telemedicine

With everyone’s health in mind, many doctor’s offices are using telemedicine in place of some in-person appointments. Here are a few tips to help you have a more successful visit from home:

  • Find a quiet place to talk: Lower the chances of distractions and interruptions by letting your household know you’ll be on a call. You may also want to ask them to limit their internet use at that time.
  • Prepare beforehand: Make a list of your questions, concerns, and symptoms you are experiencing.
  • Have a pen and paper handy: Take note of important information from your doctor.
