WHAT IS RHEUMATOID FACTOR (RF)?

Rheumatoid factor (RF) is an antibody present in the blood of many patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA).

Normally, your body makes antibodies to attack germs that can make you sick. When it comes to RA, RF sometimes targets healthy cells and tissues by mistake, leading to RA symptoms like inflammation and joint pain/damage.
